Shadow strike is awesome!!! Get it and max it! I don't have life steal yet.

Shadowstrike is the best dps skill rogues have now. Life steal is great for survivability i can put mine to 50 with rings and im healing myself 1200 on bosses close to my lvl.

whoa. 1200, at lvl 25 it was up to 352 or so. I hit 120 so I dunno what it's like at 30/30.

Life steal effectiveness also depends on how much dex you have.

What about riposte? I never used it much until a couple of weeks ago when solo leveling and have grown to love it. Just wished it lasted as long as a mages cloak of fire.

just bought 20 alt books, 195 dex 30/30 life steal 440

Riposte is decent, very high dmg only 6 sec but its however many times they hit you, in 6 sec i found that they hit you an average of 2 times, mine does up to 1650 on mobs my level, lifesteal is not bad it has sure saved me a ton, shadow strike pshhh easily top skills in game.
