Touch should NOT be maxed. It costs too much mana without a worthwhile payout. Mine is only level 4 I think. More often than not it's going to heal enough. I know the devs are trying to stick with the Celtic theme, so mythological pets or creatures that actually existed in England/Irelland/Scotland around the time of the Celts would be best.

What I would like to see the most is a balancing act between the classes. I haven't read too much about class balancing for update 2,except for druids (who need it the most). While I do not know the actual reason for the name change, Highland Warrior sounds more like a 1 class hack/slash adventure game than a multi-class MMORPG. Perhaps it was just to draw in more people.
