A Mathematics expert

#1
I am very interested in math, and always have been. I decided to turn this into a great thing, and mix programming with math, thus came the Java math.
Java math is what I like to call a new form of skill sets, which I have already implemented in my game. It very much helps with stuff. I will not advertise my game here, but I am asking otm if they need some help on this. As said in an earlier topic, I am
Moving to UK.
Without a job, im screwed. Also knowing coding and extreme math, I believe I could be a moderate help to OTM, knowing how the game has changed and shifted since 2011. If you want guides on Java math pm me, one equation would be over the characters limit here lol.
Anyways, <ALxCLxSL=SS> (one of my newest formulas)

Okay smarty, if ure so good at maths, solve my next riddle:

One plus one equals ...what? Should be an open and shut case for an expert like you.

first correct answer gets a special prize, arjunlite you cannot enter cuz u won the last one

No, ull have to think harder than that to solve this one!

I had to make them harder, or arjunlite gets them in like 2 secs, even the last one he did in like 8 mins http://celtic-heroes.com/forum/viewtopi ... =5&t=70666

Start with the following simple equation:
a=b
Multiply both sides by b:
ab=b2
Subtract a2 from both sides and factorize:
ab−a2=b2−a2
a(b−a)=(b+a)(b−a)
Simplify and add 1 to both sides:
a=b+a
a+1=b+a+1
Now since a=b (the starting point of this proof), we can write this as:
a+1=2a+1
And in the case where a=1, we have:
1+1=2+1
So, therefore,
1+1=3

You cannot simplify (a-b) from both sides. It is mathematically incorrect to divide by zero (since a=b).

a(b−a)=(b+a)(b−a)
Simplify and add 1 to both sides:
a=b+a
Correct me if I'm wrong..but..that's not correct.

The simplest form looks like ab=b^2

EDIT: Arjun got to it before me...
Correct, you can continue simplifying though!

ab=b^2
b(b) = b^2 (by hypothesis since a = b)
b^2 = b^2
1 = 1 (by dividing both sides by b^2)
