Main hand weapons.
These weapons you can upgrade.

For each level cap of 40, 80, 120 and so forth you can add more abilities to your weapon, and they affect the outer appearance of the weapon. The weapons abilities in question being skill, regens and evades. The values of these are based on your crafting skill ability.

Yes you need to run around the world to find right materials to be able to craft more abilities to your weapons.
For example druid main hand staff. Gather different types of vines to create the vines skill for your staff.
It has chance to fail and you need to start over. The higher boost you want, the harder materials and higher chance to fail. Materials are skattered around the world, where higher level boost material is found at higher level mobs. The materials can be both stuff you gather and drops from mobs.

These weapons are likely to never achieve the level of those found at mord or alike, but will give even lower levels the possibility to craft a weapon of their own choosing to aid their quest against evil in Lirs. This will naturally require some patience and effort of the players.

Brighid’s Sling Appearance
When the sling is being used, it glows with the light of it’s respective enchantment (fire:red / ice:blue / magic:white), and drips golden sparkles. When the sling is lifted over the players head to fire a projectile, the glow from the sling circles over the player’s head, along with the sparkles. As the projectile is cast, the projectile glows until it strikes its target.

Who is Brighid?
Brighid is the Daughter of the Dagda, one of the more universal deities of the pagan Gaelic world. She is known as the Goddess of Healers, Poets, Smiths, Childbirth and Inspiration; Goddess of Fire and Hearth, a patron of warfare, and the arrival of early spring. Her soldiers were called Brigands. Her name means "Exalted One.”

Weapon Summary
A sling is a ranged weapon restricted to rogues, that is faster than a bow, but does less damage due to the increased surface area of the projectiles and inability to pierce heavy armor. Projectiles, such as rocks, are fired with great force which can cause concussions and internal bleeding. Slings are constructed from a projectile holding cup, with two cords on either end. The sling is loaded, and swung above the head of the slinger. One cord is released to launch the projectile.

These skills cannot be used while a sling is equipped
  • Quick Strike
  • Assassinate
  • Life Steal
  • Rend
  • Shadowstrike
  • Sneaky Attack
  • Double Attack
These skills can be used only while a sling is equipped
  • Bonebreaker - A lightning quick sling attack, dealing X damage to your enemy. If shatter is active on the mob, damage is doubled. Does not use your weapon damage or delay.
  • Concussion - Strike your opponent in the head, which causes X damage and will reduce their movement speed for 10 seconds if they are below level X. If bolas or grasping roots is active on the mob it will stun them for 5 seconds instead.
  • Trauma - Strike your opponent in the ribs causing X initial damage, and internal bleeding that deals X blunt damage per tick for 15 seconds. If rupture is active on the mob, damage is doubled. Adds the damage and delay of your equipped weapon.
  • Warning Shot - Fire a shot at an enemy that causes no damage, but gets their attention and causes them to attack you if they are below level X. Also raises your attack rating by X for 60 seconds. This skill generates no aggro toward surrounding mobs.
  • Scatter Shot - AoE blunt damage attack
  • Long Shot - Fire a powerful shot that deals up to X damage, and can pin the opponent to the spot if they are below level X. This skill will not work if you are too close to the target.
  • Double Shot - Fire two projectiles in a single shot, dealing double damage that cannot miss or be evaded. Opponents above level X will only take normal damage. Must have a bow or sling equipped.
These skills can be used by either dagger or slinger rogues:
  • Distract
  • Expose Weakness
  • Fast Reflexes
  • Hide
  • Play Dead
  • Poison Weapon
  • Riposte
  • Smoke Bomb
Sling Offhand
A new type of offhand will need to be available for slingers, called a “shot bag” to hold ranged ammunition for slings. These would primarily be bought from the luxury shop as most other offhands are, but single use ammo could be dropped from monsters much like arrows are dropped in Gelebron’s Tower or in Shalemont.

Slinger Rogue Philosophy
A slinger is not meant to be more effective than a dagger rogue in a solo setting. Where the slinger really shines is in group settings. By teaming up with other classes, a slinger rogue can maximize the effectiveness of their skills. Their attacks are not as quick as dagger rogues, giving dagger rogues the benefit of being superior for locking bosses. However, the damage output for boss fights in the long run is greater for slinger rogues when compared to dagger rogues due to being able to boost their skill damage by pairing up with other classes, and a weapon that has greater damage than a dagger.

History of the Sling
The sling is an ancient weapon that has been ubiquitous in every culture throughout the ages. Although it’s origin is unknown, it’s beginnings can be traced back as far as 10,000 BC. Unlike the bow, this weapon is inexpensive and easy to make which makes it an ideal weapon for the commoner. It also survives the elements much better than the bow, and obtaining projectiles is as easy as picking up a stone. However, the sling took much greater skill to use than a bow. This is why in many ancient societies, children were raised learning how to use a sling so that by adulthood they would have mastered the weapon. In Celtic warfare, slings played a major role on the battlefield. The defense of Maiden Castle, and Danebury were undertaken by slingers. Julius Caesar also recorded that the Celts would use slings to launch incendiary bullets of tallow, pitch, and red hot slag in battle. Vercingetorix, leader of the Gauls against the Roman invasion made use of slingers in his reinforcements. In the ancient tales, it is told that Cuculainn and other warriors flung sling stones with deadly precision. In the Tales of the Tain, and in Cormac’s Glossary, slings are constantly mentioned as being used in battle. No Celtic sling has survived and been found in the present day, however stockpiles of sling stones and clay bullets have been found in many fortified places.

What initially started out as just one dagger for rouge soon became a, more or less, full-scale set containing all kinds of weapons. All of the pictures are drawn by hand and scanned onto my PC, which is why the background looks different at some places. As you may notice while you read my post, I'm not really that good at stats. Oh, and if you're wondering what kind of weapon a weapon is (if you cant tell from the picture):
Book- The Pressed Rose
Sword- The Thistletwig
Greatsword- The Thistlebranch
Dagger- The Thorn
Shield- the Barbed Trunk
Bow - The Pin Sticker
Quiver- The Pin Cushion
Spear- The Needle
Staff- The Twisted Rose
Wand- The Rose
Axe- The Stinging Axe
Hammer- The Prickled Mallet
I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Qaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces.

Re: Design a Spring Weapon - Win Unique Fashion

It's funny how originally the challenge was to make one weapon. And it said if you designed more chose your best.
Now it says its ok to design a set. I was already wondering why people were designing sets since that wasn't in the rules when I read them. XD
The "set" part was always there, but I assumed it was just to make different versions of the same weapon, much like the fire/ice/magic variations that exist for the Golden Blades from the Scavenger shop. I didn't realize that we had to make a different weapon for each class :|
