Having only joined a few days ago, I am at a loss about this "update" business. I'm not sure if I was affected but can someone explain to me what happened?

Yeah, I've noticed that hardly anyone is on Epona. I recognized the name from my mythology classes but I am slightly surprised at the lack of people. Is it more crowded on other "worlds"?
