"Honest" players who progress and try to get drops will have hardly any opportunity - the only way is to bank on people who level to 220 just cause or that want xdl when it doesn't offer the 66% more dps needed to outdo lvl200 people.
In short it encourages people to game the system and hasn't accomplished even half of what it was supposed to.
Ok, makes sense....however my main point still stands. Why would level 220s want to kill hrung? Or to phrase it better, why do level 220s feel that they deserve to get hrung instead of lower levels who arguably need the gear more (since they dont have full edl, and maybe not even full dl).
I would agree that staying at level 180 only to get endgame gear does make it a little unfair, however, just wait until gelebron comes out! Then they have 30 levels to go until they can even be useful at gelebron!
The issue with hrung is the poor amount of loot that drops. After 30 kills, we have 27 armor rings sitting in the bank and only 3 dmg rings have dropped and those are of the 60 dmg which is hardly better than some of the aggy we've gotten. We also have a ton of def+energy braces and only 4 dmg braces that have dropped. We have energy harvest skulls and sacrifice skulls and war cry helms. Only a very small amount of hrung drops are worth wanting and this is the same for the other end game bosses.
My druid is 207 and if I wasn't on lvling hiatus would be 220 and still want to kill hrung to get a healing reduced recast skull.
As far as why do lvl 220 want to keep killing hrung? It drops the best skulls and helms for casters and dmg braces and rings for melee classes...that is if they ever drop.
You seem to indicate a lower level needs the gear more. Hasn't the person that's spent more time in the game deserving of better gear? Isn't the person with the masters degree or PhD more deserving of a better position or promotion than the person with no degree or bachelor's degree?
