Re: Constitution: Founders were religious or non-religious

#51
There were more things in the constitution than JUST freedom of religion and christian principles. Besides Jesus is accepted in the Freemason community. Also, it could of changed a bit from here and now.

a quote I found
All but two of the first 108 universities founded in America were Christian. This includes the first, Harvard, where the student handbook listed this as Rule #1: “Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandments."

In 1777. Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase bibles which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared, “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.

Yea, their were lots of Christian Churches across America. They were also synagogues and other religions present. Another point, if the constitution was based off Christianity, then why were religious tests banned when choosing government positions? If they really founded the country off religion you would think to help run it religious tests would be the first thing done.

Religious freedom but do it expressing there's
"Under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in in 1954. Obviously the founding fathers were all dead by then.

Most people who made the constitution were free masons. Look up who the free masons were. That's why on the back of a bill there is the pyramid with the eye. Or the national symbol of the free masons.
If you have seen the movie National Treasure you should know what a free mason is,now if you haven't i recommend buying it or renting it from the library. :)
