Which is superior?

My thoughts is necral sword. I mean during a raid boss not some edl or dl boss. Vit just adds more health druid need to heal while sheilding adds instead of needing to be healed? Maxed sword ability and heroic haste. Thoughts?

I've messed around with both. The sword never seems to proc when I need it to. And hastes are hard enough to come by for dps. As tank I don't worry about dealing dmg. I prefer a dependable upgrade that is on equip.

I find that necral swords are irrelevant in all aspects and ive played since end of 2012 and yet to see any tank use a necro sword of any kind, or dps for that matter, even its a void, so id recommend mord vit spear for sure, or if u have too much hp, a dex spear isnt bad either cuz of 1 dex = 2 defence

Theres a toon in Morrigan that uses the shielding sword

The only thing going for a Necral sword is it looks cooler than a spear especially with the green glow of the shadow/void.
Other than that, I'd pick vit more spear for tanking.

Reviving this thread - swords are underwhelmingly weak.

I have used my void necral sword of shielding on my tank for my tank challenge videos. It works amazingly well for them. Never have i actually used it for a endgame raid though. I use my void vit spear fo raids.

That sword spends its days on my endgame dps war that also rocks 4 rings of death (1 godly, 2 imp, 1 majestic)

Despite the attack being near 12,000 with buffs and lixes. The damage is shocking. So its not even much good there. Saves a few restores tho keeping the dps war alive to bash prot and gelebron.
