Depends on what you're doing, if leveling dual axe for max dps output if tanking or off tanking shield offhand

Need help

2 weapons for leveling or dps, shield/axe, shield/hammer, or shield/spear for tanking. You need the corrupted gardens offhand which you cant get till very late in game for sword/shield or sword/offhand weapon to be viable.
