Switching out my rogue into a strength build, I'm level 102 and stats are as follows: Strength 445(476), dex 5(105), Foc 10(66), Vit 70(210)
My offhand's a Dagger of Slaying so I'm sure I can switch it to Axe of Triumph for more strength.

Anywho I'm a bit caught up on skills. I've got 37/25 Riposte listing 2261 damage, 25/25 Quick Strike listing 953 damage, but I can't decide which other two skills to max out. My level 230 friend says Life Steal (I've already got a +5 ring) just for safety, which I agree with however it doesn't increase my dps by that much. I tried Sneaky Attack for a while and it's amazing for locking bosses, but just inefficient for levelling. I've not tried Rend since 2013 haha but I assume it's pretty decent on a strength build; however I never see it recommended though. I could also choose Poison Weapon which will add 45 poison damage which doesn't sound too bad. I would say Poison Weapon would be nice for lixing because the 60% haste proccing it, but it only lasts 2 minutes and applying it 8 times per lix is outrageous and probably the only reason the skill is barely used.

Interesting enough it sounds like I might end up using Rend hahaha

Shadowstrike is arguably a rogues best skill. Rend is best used at level 1 imo. Sneaky attack is aweful for leveling. Poison weapons is nice and so is lifesteal.

Poison damage is unresisted by mobs until you begin leveling in the tower. Shadowstrike poison weaps and lifesteal all deal poison damage.

For leveling my rogue i used quickstrike riposte lifesteal shadowstrike poison weaps and a level 1 rend.

Well it's not completely unregister but less resisted than the other damage types

I have settled for Double Attack however it's only useful at the right time. I usually neglect it as it's often compared to Quick Strike but well, this is a strength build and it seems both will give me raw damage. Does Poison Weapon actually scale damage with dexterity like it says it does? I've got about 100 dex from gear and it says 45. If it did scale with dex though wouldn't it be a less generic number ? If it does, I would definitely consider it on a dex build.

Does Rake have a purpose besides levelling Critical Skills when used at level 1? It seems like such a hassle to click haha

Poison weaps does increase from both dex and cunning. And a level 1 rake (wolf skill) wont really do much damage at all so yes it would be more just for crit skills. As far a i know rend(im assuming you meant rend not rake), doesnt interupt autos so each cast you basically get 1 free auto + the extra dot.
