A lot of people don't know this, but he was a founder of Pixar as well.

I thought he just bought Pixar....
Nope, when Pixar first separated from Disney, they worked for George Lucas for a short time, but he saw things going in a different direction and cut them from his team. They tried to create their own company but needed a sponsor, Steve Jobs was that sponsor. Gave them a 3 million dollar head start, they were able to conjure up another 7 million and the Pixar that we know and love today was born.
