I think it’s useful. I have the fully upgraded (t10) offhand and I love it. Athens buffs are awesome and the extra 6 st points are always helpful 
200 divine damage, 500 focus, doesn’t get much better. 300 resist poison and chaos, and 250 crit skills. Seems to me the lack of lightning strike in description is a bug, too.
