This, if it scales to a low value even at endgame lets say 3k on paper, 2.1-2.6 on fluct then i would understand a low cooldown but if it goes as high as 7k, 9k then the cooldown may be fine which also depends on the cast, can that be confirmed because in my head im thinking its an instant cast.
I also believe skills like these dont crit?
Well i learnt that these skills do not scale with ur ability, only focus. So mages/druids get roughly the same damage depending on their focus.
Welp once I get this noob of a mage to 220 I’ll have to farm one and test out to see how it scales and to see if it has any EG value.

I just found the ice version of that ring, but its on my taranis alt so i cant test it just yet(im 110 atm, has a 120 req)

The skill is a minute long cooldown and has a 1 second cast time(like real ice shards)

How far off is that from the normal ice shards damage at lvl 1 with those stats?

Can you ghost put in shard points and see what level shards the ring is equivalent to with those stats?
Curious as to any EG practicality to these skills. My guess would be a level 10 shards.

Your ice ability has 0 effect on the damage btw. Its only focus.

That dmg is pretty underwhelming for a skill with a 1 minute cool down. Waste of a ring slot /: still cool to have though

The question I have is if it caps, and at what point. Because even though it does .86 dmg/point of focus, that’s not horrid dmg if you have, say 10k focus. And will it crit? It’s not the best lux but I could definitely see uses for it.

Your ice ability has 0 effect on the damage btw. Its only focus.
If you check the image again the skill specifically says it uses the ice magic ability. I can't quote it and I don't know how to get the attachement myself so you'll have to scroll up. I guess you could check specifically if the ability does increase the damage, but it would make no sens to put ice magic in the description if it had no effect on the skill.
