But 40 kills and not a single one is unacceptable imo. The Helms are way too rare.

Think of it in terms of cars, everyone can have a Toyota it does the job fine gets you from A to B, those who work hard or get lucky drive a Mercedes, does the same job but more efficiently and in style. Then there’s that one guy in your town who has a Ferrari, it’s a luxury, the Mercedes would do the job just as well but this has a bit more flair. Is it unacceptable that everyone can’t have a Ferrari?

So yeah the BT helms aren’t required in order to do any content in game, they’re a rare luxury that when they do come up is something that stands out from the crowd.

I don’t think that’s a fair analogy at all, because a person that works hard and earns the money can go out and BUY the car that they have earned and can afford without it being random generated luck. For all we know the guy that owned the Ferrari could have hit a lucky lottery I suppose, but at least he had a choice in how to spend it ..even if born into money you have a choice ....not only is the helm drop unacceptablely rare, we have no control over which helm will eventually drop.

It’s a flawed analogy which is used to justify a flawed loot table situation.

I am absolutely okay with those that work harder or having higher paying careers driving a Mercedes vs a Toyota but if we're going to go with your analogy then the work/career/job in this game is killing bosses. The ones that have helms and the ones that don't are all killing the same boss, meaning we all have the same job/career. So some people are getting more rewarded for doing the same amount of work from the same company.

Actually if it does drop it brings out further supremacy to the dominant clan(and for a boss that takes that much I would have expected more), I don't think it's "just a rare piece of luxury used for bragging rights", you've seen the feedback about how trashy the drops are and to the ratio of good:bad drops it's pretty much 1:9, 40 kills with no helm/ not knowing which class it's going to drop for is ridiculous, and don't go comparing Mercedes (assuming edl/mord helms) to Ferraris (bt helm) because they're on a god gee golly different level and Mercedes don't get the job done compared to what "Ferraris" are capable of

My family has 3 convertible Mercedes cars (2 hard top 1 soft) and 2 four door Mercedes and they all run perfectly fine and get the job done and yeah the the point Ferraris are more exclusive so they do more than just get the job done the analogy was very sound

The analogy was about those that work harder have the luxury of having a better car. Except we're all putting in the same effort killing the same boss. So everyone should be treated and paid equally which means we all have access to the ferrari/Mercedes of we wanted.

They are kinda more useful than mord helms because obviously the stats and because they save u 3 purenesses. That’s 3 gele kills or 3 lucky prime kills.
Would it really be game breaking if they had the same drop rate as mord helms? Mord helms imo have a balanced drop rates.

Or VR should change drop rates of pures so that every prot drops at least 1 pure since EVERY class needs pures. The rare drops should be the class specific ones. (Literally a logical way to do it) It could be just like Snorri is a confirmed crown as well as its placeholders got a drop increase.

That brings my statement of the dominating clan to your point, obviously you would think after showing domination you would be rewarded with something that puts you up the step rather than staying on the same level as a clan that doesn't/can't do the raid.
(Some work more than others and in certain instances that pays off more beneficially).

Most of this game is luck based and we knew that before bt even came out I get what you mean but it that other clan cant kill bt you're clearly doing way better 1 and you have other gear that they don't 2 it's not like it has a chance of no drops

So one of the clans that wrote the book on how to kill Bloodthorn. that pioneered the path for the rest of the community to have a guide on how to kill this boss is not deserving of a Status symbol to wear around for bragging rights. Three of our leaders who worked together to write the guide even went to two separate servers (wont mention any names) to help them figure out how to kill Bloodthorn. One of these servers has reportedly received 3 helmets; this particular server was learning from us how to kill their first Bloodthorn when we were killing our fifteenth. Why are they deserving of 3 Ferraris and we are not deserving of any? Yes these helms are far superior to any previous item, but the work, coordination, and effort required to kill this boss is equally more difficult than any previous boss. We are currently leveling up a few characters on another server to hopefully be able to help them be able to kill Bloodthorn. Nothing like the guy driving a Toyota helping others get into Ferrari's.

I would say 40 kills is alot like having the dispensable cash to walk onto a Ferrari dealership and be able to buy a Ferrari with cash but there isn't any on the lot and the dealer says they are coming any day now, just wait another 48-96 hours only to come in to the dealership and the dealership says we have one Mercedes we just got in and 3 Toyotas (guaranteed imperial or godly - thank you for this BTW, and 3 Royals). So the 3 Toyotas just sit in the garage and the Mercedes might catch someones eyes but most are making sure they have the money to be able to buy that Ferrari if the dealership ever gets one in. The first month or two you understand the back order, its a Ferrari after all, but after 4 months you begin to wonder if the dealership is ever going to have a Ferrari in stock. Not to mention that the dealership has said, these aren't just any Ferrari there are 10 types of Ferrari's that we could possibly get in and if the Ferrari isn't designed specifically for you then you get to watch someone else drive off with it.

Another way to look at this analogy is that a car dealership is doing a special event where they are going to unveil 4 cars for people to take home, and there is a chance that one of them will be a Ferrari, but in order to the dealership you have to drive 1000 miles and its not on highway roads most of the roads to get to the dealership are unpaved, so you have all the money you have to spend to get to the dealership. Then once you are at the dealership you and 40+ people have to spend the money to buy a Ferrari just to get into the event. Once you are in the event then you still have to figure out how to get to the 4 cars that we will unveil. Once the group of 40+ finally get to the cars one of them is guaranteed to be a Mercedes, the others will most likely only be newer versions of the Toyota you are already driving but there is a rare chance that the Ferrari that you worked and saved and sacrificed for will be there, but most likely not. After four months of this routine you begin to wonder if the dealership is really only interested in getting you to pay the money that it takes to get in the door and that there really aren't any Ferrari's.
