On a more serious note though, the idea of legitimate server xfers is a really poor one. It would destroy server economies and would disrupt the game as it currently functions. Sure it could EVENTUALLY recover, but at what cost? how many players quit due to it? how much gear is lost in the process? Games with fluid servers work and can be fun, but they function differently. One does not simply change a game from hard locked servers like this to one with fluid servers without expecting everything to go wrong.

Server transfer is definitely a good thing imo. The only logical counter-argument I’ve seen so far is the economy being destroyed. This isn’t a permanent issue as over time there will be a server wide economy that dominates the whole game. It may be messy at the start but it’s a good feature in the long run. In addition to that, new servers and android servers will have access to old items.

Lots of dedicated players have quit the game because of server issues. Infact this mostly affects the dedicated platinum buyers as a casual player wouldn’t notice the difference between the servers (most problems are eg-related). These server issues may include servers dying, unoptimal timezones in top clan or simply being kicked for whatever reason from top clans. I feel that lots of these players shouldn’t be forced to start from scratch because of unfair factors which are beyond their control. I myself personally have been unable to obtain eg after 6 years of intensive playing across 2 servers due to server-based factors.

Lastly, when comparing with other games ranging from small unknown mobile MMOs to mainstream MMOs for PC, it seems almost all of these games have an option for server transfer. Some have incredibly long cooldowns or require paid premium currency while others simply allow frequent free server transfer. This shows how it has already been a successfull feature in most games.


TLDR:
Pros:
- All servers have access to legacy items
- Players who would’ve otherwise quit will continue playing
- No more server transfer scams
- Potentially more income for OTM if they add a paid (platinum) fee

Cons:
- Economy is temporarily ‘ruined’, but will generalize across most servers over time

U make a point. But i also see lot of occultists randomly joining other servers and gather up with more occultists and *** all servers lol

People already do server transfers... happens almost everyday. Adding an actual server transfer option will do nothing but take away the risk of being scammed and make it overall easier for one to transfer. People should have the right to freely move over to a server that they may find more enjoyable without completely starting over or putting your items at risk.

To prevent server economies from being “ruined”, just make it so that you can only move over gold which keeps items in their respectful servers. If I’m not mistaken, a lot of other MMORPGs allow server transfers so why isn’t it available here in CH?

Fine, ill give my vote, but it comes with the huge warning that I will almost certainly try to take over every worlds economy if it happens. I cast aside what i wanted for the good of everyone, but if this is a thing then i cant save you from the economic problems it will bring.

Oh, and for bonus points, dom clans will totally leave their servers. All worlds are is a carbon copy of the rest of them. The history of the worlds would be nothing if worlds were freely connected, so there would be no point to stay on one world when you can switch worlds to kill bosses. Gear being nontrade in the new world would help, but would not eliminate the problem as clans could make pacts and such.

It would be oke to make it for servers older then 3 years
