Is there any way to check if we have been a victim of this? I have sent large mails before but I never paid attention to whether or not all the items were transferred.

We've implemented a temporary fix in the Food of the Gods update that limits the size of attachments on mails which in turn should prevent this issue.

You should be fine as this was a very rare occurrence bug, if you do have further questions please contact our support team and we can assist.
