having an 8v8 does not necessarily balance the chances of either clan locking the boss. There are other factors that need to be consider such as gear, the type of class they can gather, the lv of the players and so on. So in conclusion no window won’t make a difference at all, but it will make the game slightly enjoyable because camping it’s annoying.

It's tough trying to explain to people who don't camp, why random spawn times are harder for smaller clans. The OTM stance that it's "equal opportunity" for smaller clans if spawn window is one hour versus 1m, is absolutely false.

I don’t like the window however the rogue in me also doesn’t care much for these 2 bosses anyway so I won’t be stressing over these guys. However otm does need to learn no one and I mean no one stumbles on bosses unless your in a inactive, competiveless(I don’t know if it’s a word) server then the only one who stumbles upon bosses is the dom clan and then it’s still the dom clans kill.

Just to clarify (And I want to make it very clear to those involved I am not defending spawn windows, I am just clearing up misconceptions and furthering discussions) spawn windows are implemented to create "randomness" to world boss spawns.

If a set timer is in place yes, both clans do have an equal chance to capitalise on the spawn, however a dominant clan with better gear can then easily monopolise this spawn.

By adding a longer timer you create "randomness" and opportunities for others to win spawns over others who may not have been prepared at the time etc.

Whether you personally agree or disagree with this design and it's effectiveness, which is also found in other mmos (Guild Wars 2, FF online, Black Desert) is up to individual choice.

I personally would love to see additional instance content and further end game content.
We are always listening to player feedback and would love to hear alternative ideas and suggestions.

This is an excellent sentiment, but it just means everyone stands around for an hour. Randomly spawning once every 5 hours would be better. I understand the technical limitation though. I think spawning every 5-6 hours would be sufficient that entire clans would not stand around, but perhaps I am underestimating some clans. : )
It would be neat if spawn times were variable also well.

Another option is don't announce the times/windows, but it only took a day or so last event for everyone to have bosses timed so I suspect it wouldn't help.

I still tend to feel that its better to either have unknown timers, or a timer and no window than a long window with 50 people standing around for an hour 6 times a day : )

The only recommendation that comes to my mind is that OTM staff should start playing the game and try to reach end game. Don’t tell anybody who your toon is and don’t join the dominant clan but rather join the second or third best and find out how hard is to be able to kill end game bosses when you are not in the dominant clan, especially in the one clan dominated server. Maybe by having first hand experience you guys can find out what does work and what does not. In the forums you usually heard back from the same people. Playing the game you will heard back from different players with different perspective. Mr Muldar, I have noticed you been lv 172 for a while now. Did you quit the game before reaching endgame?

This event has been a major waste of time. I repeat - it’s done nothing but waste our time. There’s isn’t any fun in standing in a spot for one hour waiting for a boss to spawn. Each round has consisted of over two hours of camp time ..ridiculous to sacrifice our real life to log in waiting one hour for every boss - none has spawned earlier than 30 mins from when I’ve been on. Oh and then it’s mostly junk for for one hour+ for one boss.

The last event was amazing. Non stop madness, always something to do. Wasn’t any sitting around staring at an empty spot for 45 mins, people knew when to log in and that gave us time to do other things offline.

Obviously otm doesn’t value our feedback on spawn windows, this has been a debate for years now and every year its forced on clans to compete this way. No window or lack therof is going to help a non dominant clan if the dominate clan actually cares about the boss enough to log in for it.

This event ruined my weekend ..had other stuff I wanted to do offline , but no I have to log and look at one spot because otm fails at knowing how clans operate on competive servers. I’ve purposely chose not to log for five so yea the non dom clan has had some luck cause screw one hour sitting for one drop..several of us has decided not worth this crap.

Next time just give us all the bosses again done like the carrrow carnage or don’t even bother -.-
