I wonder why there used to be a swastika on the idol of wood, and in fact, it's still there... just blurred out. You can still see it.

Correct. In fact its a very peaceful symbol, and if u see it's definition u will think 'How is it related to the Nazis then?'. They used it BECAUSE it was a symbol of peace, companionship and more, and that was the whole point about it. But its not a symbol that means any harm.

Unfortunately regardless of its origin, the swastika has forever been corrupted into an icon of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It's no accident white supremacists use it as their banner, and no one who ever sees one painted on a building, gravestone, or anything similar views it as a symbol of peace. I would respectfully ask OTM to completely remove it from the statue.
