Hi Guys
Wondering what's the difference between this 2 boosts.
I'm playing a mage with a goldent trident of fire and recentlt bought a flint wand.
Can u explain which of my spells are modified by each boost ?
Thx
Re: Difference between hearth Damage / Magic Fire
#2Elemental dmg (heat, cold, magic), physical dmg (pierce, slash, crush), an poison dmg, do not have an effect on the spells used by mages or druids. Only your auto attack between spells. To increase spell dmg, get equipment (rings, braces, special wands etc) that refer to the specific spell (adding either points or dmg to it) or ones that increase focus, fire magic, or ice magic. Go to the mage forum, and read the guide for a better understanding of how it all works.

Re: Difference between hearth Damage / Magic Fire
#3Dear Lutece
For your mage there are only 4 things that will affect the amount of damage that each of your offensive spells (ie the ones you attack with).
Those things are:
1: Ice or Fire Magic ability (depending on whether youre attacking with an Ice or fire based skill)
2: The amount of stat points you have in focus
3: The amount of skill points you have in fire or ice attune
4: The amount of skill points you have in the skill you are attacking with
Unfortunately for you, the trident of fire offers a bonus to heat damage (amongst some other bonuses), which only affects the amount of damage you deal out when you 'hit something' with your flint wand.
You should have a look around and see which offhands might offer a bonus to item 1, or 2 above.

#4Thanks for help,
that's clear.
Golden works with Flint because flint deals fire damage ? So with a regular wand, the heath damage is 0 I guess ?
Do u think golden trident is usefull or i should buy another offhand ?
Thanks

#5I dont think the Trident is useful for you, you should look for an off hand which gives focus which will make ur spells hit harder

#6You should probably get a masters grimmrore if you want your spells to hit harder consider it provides a very good boost to focusThanks for help,
