Re: Figuring Haste item weapon speed

That formula is wrong as far as I can tell. If the speed increase was 100% you would hit infinitely fast lol. Actually you would only hit 2x as fast. Car analogy - you go 50% faster from 60 mph - new speed is 90mph not 120.

The weapon speed is this formula:

New speed = (original speed) x (1/(1+(haste percent / 100)))

Where haste percent is a number like 30 for 30%. So if your speed on a weapon is 2000 originally, and you have 30% haste then you should hit 2000 x ( 1 / ( 1 + 30/100)) = 2000 x ( 1 / 1.3 ) = 1538.

Likewise 50% would be 1333 as the new speed. This should be right a quick test seemed to be as correct as I could time it manually.

Maybe I will record video and measure frames.

Plus3... give me an equation in dumb people's math =) I hate math for a reason...
Sure just multiply using this table:
10% increase - .909
20% increase - .833
30% increase - .769
40% increase - .714
50% increase - .667
60% increase - .625
70% increase - .588
100% increase - .500

Just take the increase percent number and multiply it by your weapon speed.

So for 30% haste gloves and 2900 weapon speed it's 2900 x .769 or 2230.

No. 100% increase is doubled speed not infinitely fast. I'll use your own example, if you're going 60mph and go 100% faster you go 120mph because you're going 100% faster than you were going before.

I like to just use as many speed boosting items as possible and hope I don't die before the boss/mob does. Forget math. I play this game to avoid it. Lol

He realizes that. He says that in his post. This was just an example to show why the other formula did not work.

Lol you guys need to pay attention in Maths class.

Very simple

New weapon speed = Old Weapon speed x [1-(Haste %/100)]

Example

Weapon speed = 2000
Using 30% haste gloves

New weapon speed = 2000 x [1-(30/100)] = 2000 x [1-0.3) = 2000 x 0.7 = 1400

Yoi shouldnt really need an equation but im guessing you guys cant work out %s in your head.
