So wait you hit lvl 240? Or do you mean after stacking rings you can finally get it to 50/50.
I am sorry to say but with most people not even 150 yet there is no point in raising a skill limit as we all got roughly 90 more lvls to gain before that.
At lvl 150 you only need 15 skill levels from rings and other equipment to hit the hard-cap.. It is not hard to get 15 skill levels worth of equipment.
I know this but why would you want to put 35 points into 1 skill only to stack it to 50, you can't even make 5 skills 35/35 at 150 with out the use of rings.
Here lets look at it like this:
A Mage has 19 spells, why would a Mage put 35/35 into 5 spells?
I've always played a more balanced type and have never had any trouble killing anything.
Or like this:
A lvl 150 Mage has 149 points to spend as you don't have a point for lvl 1.
Ok so 19 spells times 34 (as they all start with 1) equals 646 total skill points
So now we that 646 divided by 149 which equals 23%
So as of now on its current level limit Mages are 23% full power.
So now tell me is being at 23% full power coming close to the skill cap of 50?
What this post wants is just more damage, so I almost guarentee the person who posted this is in the top 10 of skills hit for his class and just wants more! Without looking at the whole picture as we truly are only 23% full power ATM.
Bonus:
Let's say they don't increase the limit and lvl 269 is the level limit as going to lvl 270 you'd bring skill to 55/55
268 points to spend
19 skills times 49 equals 931
931 divided by 268 equals 29%
So even at the current lvl limit if nothing changes we'd still only be at 29% full power.
There is no need to increase the limit at all.
What they need to do is make it so every other lvl you gain 2 skill points instead of 1.
Why you ask?
Because at the current rate armour is just going to get far to complicated something like this would be info for a breast plate:
Weight: 15
Armour: 200
+5 fire lure
+5 fire bolt
+5 fire cloak
Ice damage 10
Wounding attack evation +500
Spell attack evation +500
And a free Mc Donald's double cheese with ever 2000 dmg taken.
We need time to catch up plain and simple.
