VR, We Really Do Need Answers

#1
First, let me say that I'm not trying to be negative or cause all sorts of negative VR bashing with these questions. Staffing for the VR Team is likely just like staffing at any employer...the types and number of jobs within the company are determined by someone with more authority than the members of the Dev Team, and those who actually do the work of the game have to do the best they can with the staff they have.

That being assumed, I feel as if all the lack of transparency about the positions and skill levels of the Dev Team have increased player frustration and discontent well beyond what would exist if we simply knew what restrictions and what possibilities exist within the Team, and therefore, for the game.

For example, since shortly after the OTM Team was out and the VR Team was in, the rumor has been spread that VR doesn't have a graphics team or specialist and cannot create new graphics such as new areas, completely new looking gear, bosses etc. I'm uncertain if that rumor began first and then VR has since only used OTM created areas and repainted bosses, or the rumor began as a result of the lack of original content.

Either way, it's a rumor that has persisted, and all the copying, and the only totally new design (the Phoenix) looking so very anime and out of place in this game has only perpetuated that rumor. There have been other similar rumors and speculation about the VR Team as well.

Now my questions for VR, Is it true that as of now there is no graphics team? If there is such a team, how many staff are on it? What are the realistic current possibilities for game improvement and expansion? Are you guys able to create whole new areas, bosses, gear etc that are artistically similar enough to the style of the current game that it will "fit in" and not look so out of place and like a totally different artistic genre like the Phoenix does? What about game mechanics and other aspects of the game? Are you staffed in a way that would enable big expansion in those ways as well?

Just because it's a quick example we can all refer to easily, on another thread there is a big idea with lots of detail for a whole new open area with new scenery, creatures, new ways to explore, new bosses and mobs, new gear, new game mechanics etc. I think it was created and posted by Zkills If you need to look it up. Using an example like that...Is the Team currently staffed in the ways needed to create a big game improvement/expansion along those lines? If not, which parts (ie graphics, mob n boss mechanics, etc ) would you not be able to produce as things are now?

If it's true that you're graphically limited at present, are you staffed to be able to pull off new mechanics such as a new crafting system or something like that? Could any of past seasonal scenery be adapted to the new engine and reused in some way?

If you are a small Team that hasn't been given the resources and positions you need to do all the work required to constantly create additions and improvements for the game, I understand why you wouldn't want that known. I wanted to share some thoughts with you though.

Despite how we behave often, we really do love this game and want it to grow, improve and be enjoyable for everyone. If we knew what possibilities and limitations exist within the VR Team at present, we could make better suggestions and offer realistic ideas for ways you could change, improve the game that are possible and that would have a big impact in terms of player enjoyment. Even if VR was a tiny team of 1, we can all think of things that person is able to do that would improve the playing experience for people. We could just do a better job of making realistic suggestions if we knew the boundaries of possibility. Also, (and really important in order to keep players) most people are less easily frustrated if they know their ideas and suggestions aren't simply being ignored without being given any thought, but rather just aren't even possible at the present time due to circumstances beyond everyone's control.

VR may be a team the size of (or larger) than OTM for all we know, and they didn't implement a million ideas and suggestions from players, so VR may just be doing the same. Without us knowing more about VR's size, possibilities and limitations though, players are getting the impression the Team is tiny and unable to do much on your own, and that is perpetuating the thought that the game is dying and people should just quit. If we knew more we could contribute more helpful suggestions and people would be more content.

I'm hoping that any of us who choose to comment on this thread do so from a mindset of cooperation and truly wanting to understand better so we can actively contribute realistic suggestions and ideas that will make the game better for everyone.

I think the answer speaks out when we look at the history of content that has been implemented thus far.

We can see just by examining how loot tables and respawns work that our current set of raid bosses are designed in a way to keep clans busy grinding them for years. While some improvements to loot tables and boss respawns have been made over the years, those improvements have been very few and far between. Not that we aren't grateful, but it serves as further indication of what the dev team has designed this game to be. And I don't think it's our place to try and change the core concept of this game. It's clearly designed to be this way in absence of frequent content updates. Perhaps a clear indication of the lack of ability to provide frequent new content, or new content as frequently as we would like.

Instead, some further improvements to boss respawns and loot tables could be made to continuously help alleviate some of the grindy nature and burnout feeling many players are experiencing.

I do believe Bloodthorn and Dhiothu are meant to keep us occupied for a very long time.

H3ROsRanger - lvl 200 ranger
H3ROsMage - lvl 220 mage
H3ROsDruid - lvl 220 druid
H3ROsWarrior - lvl 200 warrior

Can't imagine losing kills to a ranger in 2019.

Transparency and feedback seem to be pretty thin on the ground atm with most feedback / suggestion threads being ignored. If some of the tiny changes people have asked for are too much to ask then it speaks volumes about the resources available.
Apparently the development team looks at feed back and suggestions, but I posted something their that was reasonable to fix, but still no fix. So idk....

I'm not saying the forums are not just as good but from what I see the forums are not moderated by VR but rather the Celtic Heroes community. Maybe mods know next event, maybe they know when the next beta is. But I doubt they know specifics about the games graphics development team and true direction of the game. We would like more involvement from the devs on community level and we deserve it. We have a passionate love for this game just like they do. If you scroll to the bottom of their website there's a section where you can leave your questions, comments, and concerns. Thank you for reading and I hope this information helps!
