i can only find 2 chickens. ive had the quest disappear about 5 times and each time i start again i can only get the white stumpy and the brown marsh or the white stumpy and black dumpy i can never get the brown and black at the same time making it impossible to finish the quest.

Don't waste your time too much with that. Reward isn't so great. Just drop it. Btw, are you Odin from emross war? Just wondering.

When did you last lose the quest? There was an issue with quests that was fixed in the weekend. The quest should be fine now.

i tried this quest again today and found the black dumpy for the first time and now when i go to the beach where i was able to find the brown marsh before is now just a common chicken

You get like 10 gold, don't waste your time.

They randomly spawn, sometimes normal chickens will be in there place, my advice is collect the random chicken then teleport to another place and wait a couple minutes then go back and a new chicken will respawn.
These are the places iv found chickens so far :
On a cliff just outside farcrag castle on the south east corner. (white stumpy)
On the beach near the water, next to first teleport (marsh brown)
In highshore village next to first aid trainer ( black dumpy)
Next to the right monk in temple ( black dump)

I have the brown and white one but Im Having trouble getting the black one. I keep collecting the common chicken and then coming back later and its another common chicken
