I used to play a ranger back in v3 on danu before I later moved to Taranis for reasons I won't state here and considered the ranger to be a pretty nice class. Even now in v4 rangers are still op. What you have to understand is that unlike rogues or tanks, rangers CAN solo without using pots or team...

I am a level 143 ranger. I get killed by levels below 100 in pvp. I have switched from a dex to a strength build to see if anything changes. Nope. I use skewer at level 1. It's like an extra melee hit, since spears are so slow and skewer doesn't count as an auto. Bolas is definitely better for backing up and using light heal/sigils, but it can be harder to successfully cast and some prefer skewer maxed to bolas when using spear.

Guzzletusk Gorer is a collectible really, 51 damage 4.1k speed. Offer if you want it.

Yes this is true, but other people have taken the trouble to put all this into spreadsheets and even then OTM doesn't care. I admire the effort but I doubt OTM will care unfortunately.
