It is,or at least it is now. Before the first update plate was unrestricted ot was until after that they put restrictions on armor.

I know for most of you it would not be considered an achievement to solo her, but as a druid i am pretty proud of myself for accomplishing it, and i mean real solo, no pots,elixirs,etc. A big thanks to my good old fashioned embossed plate set from back in the day :D Just 2 screen shots for you guys ...
