Double check that you’ve selected the correct server.

I can play on my iPad now but still crashes every 20-30mins and extreme lag/freezing in carrow (not a lot in area) and in castle (super overcrowded).

Nah, just cook gruel or bread on wisdom lix. The easier the food is to cook, the more often you will crit and the faster you gain mastery points.
